📖 Overview

Website Sale Hide Price allows you to hide product prices on your Odoo
eCommerce website.

Prices can be hidden based on the website, customer, or product.
When a price is hidden, the customer cannot see the price or use the related
purchase buttons for that product.

You can also display a custom message to tell customers how they can request
the price.

👤 Hide Prices for Specific Customers

Prices can be controlled for individual customers.

Each customer has a Show prices on website option.

How it works

• Enabled: the customer can see website prices.
• Disabled: the customer cannot see website prices.

The option is enabled by default for customers.

📦 Hide Prices for Specific Products

You can hide the price of selected products without hiding prices for the
whole website.

Go to:

Website → eCommerce → Products

Open a product and use the Sales tab.

In the eCommerce Shop section, enable:

Hide prices on website

You can also enter a custom Hidden price message for that product.

📝 Custom Hidden Price Message

When a product price is hidden, you can show a message instead.

For example:

Please contact us for the product price.

The message can be configured at:

• Product level.
• Website level as a default message.

The product message takes priority when it is configured.

🛒 Hide Purchase Options

When prices are hidden, the module also hides related purchasing options.

This includes:

• Add to Cart button.
• Quantity selector.
• Buy Now button.
• Extra variant prices.
• Website price filters.
• Prices in product listings and snippets.

This prevents customers from purchasing products whose prices are hidden.

🔎 Hide Prices from Search Results

Product prices are also hidden from website search results when the price
visibility rules apply.

This keeps the price hidden consistently throughout the website.

⚙️ Installation

1. Copy the website_sale_hide_price module into your Odoo addons
   directory.
2. Restart the Odoo server.
3. Update the Apps List.

Apps → Update Apps List

1. Search for Website Sale Hide Price.
2. Click Install.

📖 Usage

🌐 Hide Prices for the Entire Website

1. Go to:

Website → Configuration → Settings

1. Select the website.
2. Find the Shop - Products section.
3. Enable Hide prices on website.
4. Optionally enter a Default Hidden price message.
5. Save the settings.

Prices will be hidden for website visitors according to the configured
customer rules.

👤 Hide Prices for a Customer

1. Go to Customers.
2. Open the required customer.
3. Go to the Sales & Purchases tab.
4. In the Sales section, find Show prices on website.
5. Disable the option.
6. Save the customer.

The customer will no longer see prices on the website.

📦 Hide Prices for a Product

1. Go to:

Website → eCommerce → Products

1. Open the required product.
2. Go to the Sales tab.
3. Find the eCommerce Shop section.
4. Enable Hide prices on website.
5. Optionally enter a Hidden price message.
6. Save the product.

The selected product will no longer show its price on the website.

🧪 Testing

After configuration, open the website shop and check the following areas:

1. Search for the product using the website search box.
2. Open the shop page:

/shop

1. Open the product page.
2. Check recently viewed products.
3. Check product snippets or product listings.

When the price is hidden, the price and related purchase options should not
be displayed.

The module extends Odoo's standard website_sale functionality.

It checks three main settings:

• Website: Can prices be hidden for the complete website?
• Customer: Is the current customer allowed to see prices?
• Product: Is the selected product configured to hide its price?

If any applicable rule hides the price, the website removes the price and
related purchase controls.
