📝 Sale Quotation Numeration

📖 Overview

Sale Quotation Numeration allows you to use a separate numbering sequence for Quotations and confirmed Sales Orders.

In standard Odoo, Quotations and Sales Orders usually share the same sequence. This module assigns a unique quotation number when a quotation is created and automatically generates a different Sales Order number when the quotation is confirmed.

This makes it easier to distinguish quotations from confirmed orders and keeps sales documents better organized.

⚙️ Installation

📖 Usage

📝 Create a Quotation

📍 Menu Navigation

Sales → Orders → Quotations

Steps

1. Click Create.
2. Select a customer.
3. Add products.
4. Save the quotation.

A unique Quotation Number is assigned automatically.

✅ Confirm the Quotation

Steps

1. Open the quotation.
2. Click Confirm.
3. The quotation is converted into a Sales Order.
4. A new Sales Order Number is generated automatically.

⚙️ Modify Number Sequences

📍 Menu Navigation

Settings → Technical → Sequences & Identifiers → Sequences

Steps

1. Open the required sequence.
2. Modify the prefix or numbering format.
3. Save the changes.
